Celebrations

Ghost like to come together and celebrate the journeys of our beneficiaries. We invite our beneficiaries and a family member, the referring agent and supporting organisations along to celebrate each and everyone of our men and women’s achievements.

The night begins with a musician welcoming our guests, a photographer and drinks served. A feast and happy chatter continue on into performances by amazing local talent. The presentation of all of the certificates leads into heartfelt words and happy tears… then we dance the remainder of night away!!! It is a truly fabulous night that we all cherish xx

We have chosen not to put the later celebrations on at this time due to safe guarding a few of our vulnerable beneficiaries.

Our very first celebration was held at the beautiful Boat House in Barking. Such a perfect setting to celebrate the huge achievements of the original Ghost girls. We had a stunning 3 course meal served by Avrils platters and the lovely Kirsty followed by an emotive performance by the talented Ruby, Sia and Becky.

We were joined by the LBBD mayor Elizabeth kangethe, CRI substance misuse team, London probation CRC, LBBD Domestic abuse practitioner, Matrix education director, Asda community champion and Lifeline projects. The evening was warm, fun and very special xx

Our second celebration evening was at the stunning Eastbury Manor House. The theme was much love and Afternoon tea! We laughed and cried happy tears whilst celebrating a special evening sharing proud moments and achievements together.

The fantastic artists Sia and Dani alongside the very talented Versatile performed an intimate and poignant interpretation of a domestic abusive relationship. This issue was an experience the girls were almost all familiar with so the performance was moving but ended on an uplifting note. Local established poet John Akinde delivered a thought provoking and inspiring piece of spoken word which everyone listened and enjoyed.

Our supportive partners and professional friends from London Probation CRC, LBBD domestic abuse team, substance misuse CGL, School for social entrepreneurs and the fantastic Councillor Jason Frost joined us to celebrate our special ladies. It was a fantastic evening enjoyed by all xxx
